The European Comfort Shoe, as Josef Seibel has been named, is characterised by the hand-stitching of uppers to soles. It takes up to half an hour for each pair to be expertly hand stitched, using the same traditional methods as those used in 1886. This blend of traditional techniques, combined with modern soling materials and the best quality leathers, gives Josef Seibel its unique feeling of comfort.
Founded in 1886, Josef Seibel remains a family owned business to this day; now being managed by Carl August in its fourth generation from a small village in southwest Germany. Production is from Josef Seibel owned factories across Europe, from Germany to Hungary and Romania, where they make upwards of 60,000 pairs of quality shoes per week and ship to more than 40 countries across the world.
All styles, lasts and outsoles are developed and realised by Josef Seibel's expert design team with their comfort concepts in mind. The Josef Seibel strobel construction allows for maximum flexibility and strength within each shoe, while their Airped footbeds guarantee the highest degree of all day comfort. Each footbed comprises of high grade foam which is moulded to an anatomic design. Their perforated leather soles and full leather linings ensure the perfect foot climate, as well as working together with the footbed to act as a highly effective shock absorber.
Josef Seibel - the perfect mix of comfort, style and value.
