Timberland

Quality, Durability, Timelessness, Craftsmanship

The business started in the 1960s when the Schwartz family from Boston USA started making waterproof boots with injection-moulded soles.  The boots caught on with loggers, which resulted in the familiar yellow boot and in 1973, the Timberland name.  Now internationally renowned in the footwear and apparel markets, Timberland shoes are true to their American outdoor heritage but also produce styles suitable for the office and casual weekend looks.

Timberland has a longstanding commitment to the environment.  They generate their own renewable energy on-site, reduce their energy demand through improved efficiencies, purchases renewable energy credits to offset emissions and help develop renewable energy projects.

Timberland also has a long tradition of commitment to social programmes.  Every employee has 40 hours a year, fully paid, to serve their local communities and the company supports other community service programmes.
