The brand El Naturalista [The Naturalist] originates from La Rioja, Spain, a fertile, prosperous land known for its artisan shoemakers since ancient times. Leather is tanned using only vegetable extracts and ground tree bark. Skilled artisans then hand rub natural animal fats and sunflower oils into each hide. Once dry, a final coat of olive oil brings out leatherÕs natural grain, and produces a resilient finish that naturally repels water, dust, and dirt. Hand stitching and thicker threads create durable, longer-lasting uppers. A comfort contoured, deeply cushioned footbed absorbs the impact of each stride and the midsole conforms to the shape of the foot, providing all day comfort. Finally, a cushioned rubber sole, made from natural or recycled rubber, provides plenty of grip.
